I'm camp-sick ...

Summer has arrived and camp season is starting, but for the first time in 15 years I'm not participating. I'm full of jealousy of all my friends and former campers who are packing, flying, and starting camp this week and next. The kids arrived at Beber yesterday, and Modin and Hatikvah are going through staff training this week and next. I've been torturing myself by looking at Beber's pictures every day as they are uploaded, and I'll look at Hatikvah's as soon as they put some up. (I would be looking at Modin's too, but because I'm not current staff I don't get access to the photo pages which is sad.) At least I don't have to go through a summer without packing for a big trip - Jeff and Sari's wedding is just over 2 weeks away, and then I'm moving to Wellington! I've started packing, very prematurely, and I'm sure I'll have to redo everything six times to get it all to fit.

Take that, N!

Today I passed the final road test for BC's graduated licensing program. Woohoo! So now I don't have to put the neon green N on the back of the car, and I get a nifty purple license within the next week or so. I was really nervous but my exam was at 9:30am, and it's Victoria, so there was really no one else on the roads with me. I made 3 very minor mistakes: I pulled into a bus lane that I didn't know existed, I stopped on the stop line instead of before it, and I was only going 45 down Quadra (a busy-by-Victoria-standards) street instead of 50.

Other than the wonderfully exciting road test, not much has been going on around here. This past weekend we went to Sari's bridal shower in Vancouver. I'm not going back to Vancouver until my next surgeon follow-up appointment so I'll have to entertain myself around Victoria. It's my birthday in 10 days so if anyone actually reads this, send me gifts!
